Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions are provided by Boost Agents Inc., operating as Boost Academy of Excellence, operating in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada. In this document, Boost Academy of Excellence will be referred to as (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

Payment

The following terms cover all our courses and training offerings:

Payment Methods

  • Payments can be made through:
    • For self-paced courses and online webinars, secure online payment via Stripe (accepting Visa, Mastercard, and American Express)
    • For corporate training, email money transfer (Interac e-Transfer), Invoice payment (terms specified in individual contracts)
    • For public masterclasses and individual training, credit card or email money transfer (Interac e-Transfer)

We do not accept cash payments under any circumstances.

Payment Terms

 

  • Individual Training and Public Masterclasses: For individual participants in our public masterclasses, webinars, and open enrollment courses, full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your spot. Refunds are available according to our cancellation policy below.
  • Coaching Calls: Full payment is due at the time of booking. Once payment is received, you can select an available date and time for your session.
  • Corporate and Group Training Bookings: For group or corporate bookings where we provide exclusive training to your organization, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the date. The remaining balance is due 14 days before the training date, unless otherwise stated or agreed. Deposits are non-refundable as we reserve exclusive dates and may decline other work for your original booking.
  • Self-Paced Courses: Full payment is required at the time of purchase. All self-paced online courses are non-refundable.

General Payment Terms:

  • No booking or date is secured or confirmed until the required payment has been received.
  • All payments received must be in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated or agreed.
  • We kindly advise that no instructor travel will be booked until full payment, or when agreed, a suitable deposit, has been made. In the event of a cancellation/postponement, non-refundable/non-transferable travel costs may be passed on to the client.
  • We reserve the right to charge interest on invoiced amounts unpaid by the due date at the rate of 5% per annum above the prime rate from time to time of the Bank of Canada from the due date until the date of payment.
  • Payments for individual training and public masterclasses may be made payable to “Boost Academy of Excellence.”


Cancellation Policies

Individual Training and Public Masterclasses

The following covers individual participants in our public masterclasses, seminars, workshops, and open enrollment training:

  • 30+ days before event: Full refund (minus $25 processing fee)
  • 15-29 days before: 50% refund
  • 7-14 days before: 25% refund
  • Less than 7 days: Non-refundable

Boost Academy of Excellence reserves the right to cancel any public masterclass or training if minimum enrolment is not met. Participants will be notified at least 14 days prior and receive a full refund or transfer to a future event.

Individual training payments may be transferred to a future course date if space is available and arranged at least 48 hours in advance.

 

10-Week Cohort Programs

The following covers participants in our 10-week cohort-based leadership and professional development programs:

 

Payment Terms

Full payment is required at the time of registration to secure your spot in the cohort. No booking or spot is confirmed until payment has been received.

Payments can be made through:

  • Secure online payment via Showpass (accepting Visa, Mastercard, and American Express)
  • Email money transfer (Interac e-Transfer) – contact us directly to arrange

 

Cancellation and Refund Policy

All refunds are subject to deduction of credit card processing fees and platform fees, which are non-refundable costs charged to us regardless of cancellation timing. Current processing and platform fees will be stated on the event registration page.

  • 30+ days before program start date: Full refund minus credit card processing and platform fees
  • 15-29 days before program start date: 50% refund minus credit card processing and platform fees
  • 7-14 days before program start date: 25% refund minus credit card processing and platform fees
  • Less than 7 days before program start date: Non-refundable

 

To request a cancellation, contact us through our Contact Us page with your order number and registered name. Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days of approval.

 

Transfer Options

Registration may be transferred to another individual up to 48 hours before the program start date at no additional charge. Contact us with both parties’ information to process the transfer.

Registration may be transferred to a future cohort if space is available and arranged at least 48 hours in advance. One-time transfer only; subsequent transfers may incur a $50 administrative fee.

 

Minimum Enrollment

Cohort programs require a minimum of 12 enrolled participants to proceed. Boost Academy of Excellence reserves the right to cancel the cohort if minimum enrollment is not met. Participants will be notified at least 14 days prior to the scheduled start date if cancellation or rescheduling is necessary.

In the event of cancellation due to low enrollment, participants may choose to transfer to the next available cohort at no additional cost or receive a full refund including all processing and platform fees.

 

Program Delivery

All cohort sessions are delivered virtually via Zoom. Session access links will be sent via email 48 hours before the first session begins.

Participants are responsible for ensuring their technology meets minimum requirements: stable internet connection, working camera and microphone, updated browser or Zoom app. Technical issues on the participant’s end do not constitute grounds for refund.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all participants must have their camera turned on and microphone enabled. This is for the safety of our instructors and other participants.

 

Session Recordings

All sessions will be recorded and made available to registered participants for 90 days following each session via a private link. Recordings are provided as a backup resource for registered participants who miss a session.

Live attendance is strongly encouraged to receive full program value and engage with the cohort. Video or audio recording of any session by participants is prohibited. Recordings are for personal use only and may not be shared, downloaded, or distributed.

 

Attendance and Certificate of Completion

Participants must attend at least 6 of 8 core training sessions to receive a certificate of completion. Digital certificates will only be issued if the participant has attended over 75% of the required sessions.

Optional bonus coaching weeks (weeks 9-10) are not required for certification. If you cannot attend a live session, you may watch the recording, but live participation is encouraged for maximum benefit.

Certificates will be issued within 2 weeks of program completion to eligible participants. No refund will be issued if a participant fails to attend the required sessions, but a credit to use towards a future cohort may be granted at our discretion.

 

Timekeeping

We ask all participants to connect a few minutes before the stipulated start time. If a participant fails to show after 10 minutes without emailing to highlight their lateness, they will be marked as absent for that session. No refund will be given for missed sessions unless there are exceptional circumstances.

 

Confidentiality

Discussions, personal examples, and information shared by participants during cohort sessions must be kept confidential. What’s shared in the cohort stays in the cohort. This confidentiality agreement protects all participants’ privacy during group discussions.

 

Program Materials

All participants will receive access to worksheets, templates, tools, and resources throughout the program. Materials will be delivered digitally via email or through a private participant portal.

 

Corporate and Group Training 

The following covers our corporate training sessions and private group bookings:

  • Deposits are non-refundable unless the booking is cancelled by us
  • Deposits may be transferred to a future booking if agreed in writing, subject to availability and a date change fee
  • If we have declined other training opportunities for your original date, the full deposit will be retained for any postponements or date changes
  • Postponement to a later date is considered on a case-by-case basis and is at our discretion
  • Changes to bookings may incur additional fees, especially if our instructor has declined other work for your original date
  • Corporate events paid by invoice may have different terms as outlined in individual contracts

 

Live Online Training

All live online training is non-refundable except in extreme, exceptional circumstances. Postponement to a later date is considered on a case-by-case basis if written notice is given up to 24 hours before the start time, at our discretion. An amendment charge may be applied.

 

Self-Paced Courses 

All self-paced (pre-recorded) online training is non-refundable. All purchases of our online courses, in the form of videos or webinars, are final and cannot be refunded or exchanged.

 

Coaching Calls 

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your session
  • Payment is non-refundable for cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled session. Earlier cancellations receive a full refund
  • Payment covers one 60-minute coaching session. Sessions that run over scheduled time may incur additional pro-rated charges
  • No-shows forfeit full payment and must repay to reschedule
  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe. You’ll receive a receipt via email after booking

 

Audio/Visual Recording

Video or audio recording of any class, seminar, webinar, or workshop by participants is prohibited.

Some courses may be recorded by us, and this will be explicitly stated before registration. Most courses will not be recorded for the privacy of our clients.

If permission has been granted to a specific client to record, then it is understood that the footage/audio is for personal use only and will not be used for commercial gain or appear on any media or social media unless otherwise agreed.

Occasionally, we may take photographs or videos to promote our courses and services. We operate an opt-out policy and ask clients who do not wish to appear to inform us in writing before course commencement.

 

Custom-Designed Courses

For custom-designed courses tailored to specific client needs, we charge a nominal course design fee. The fee is non-refundable but can be redeemed against the final investment if the custom course goes ahead.

The custom course design service does not give the client any rights, unless otherwise agreed in writing, to exclusivity, claim intellectual property, or ownership of the course design.

The course program may not be shared with any other third party unless agreed in writing by both parties.

 

Timekeeping, Scheduling, and Instructors

In-Person Training

We ask all participants to arrive at the time stipulated in the course welcome information unless agreed otherwise. The instructor will leave, and no refund will be offered for participants who fail to show up after 40 minutes without telephoning, texting, or emailing to highlight their lateness.

Online Training

We ask all participants to connect a few minutes before the stipulated start time. For private online training, if a participant fails to show after 10 minutes without telephoning, texting, or emailing to highlight their lateness, the instructor will disconnect. No refund will be given unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Scheduling Changes

Webinars and online group course scheduling are subject to change at our discretion. Every best effort will be made to give participants sufficient notice.

We also reserve the right to reschedule tuition, change/replace any modules on any of the listed courses, or reallocate tutors; where possible, participants will be notified of these changes.

Referencing Your Studies

You are welcome to state you have undertaken training with us, but the duration, topics, and online/in-person medium must be stated clearly and by no means worded to mislead.

For example: ‘Trained in etiquette by Boost Academy of Excellence’ would be too vague. Instead, ‘trained by Boost Academy of Excellence in Business Dining Etiquette in the Greater Toronto Area – February 15, 2025’.

Force Majeure

Boost Academy of Excellence reserves the right to postpone or cancel any training due to industrial action, national mourning, government health advice, or any other unforeseen occurrence.

We will make every best effort to inform the client in time and process refunds accordingly, where appropriate.

Privacy and Data

We take your privacy very seriously. Please refer to our Privacy Policy. By using our website, you agree to our use of cookies. We use cookies to provide you with a better experience and to help our website run effectively.

Miscellaneous

Should a participant or client fail to provide accurate and honest information about a booking, including but not limited to group size, dietary/access/medical and additional learning requirements, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone the course, retaining any monies paid to cover costs already incurred, including administration, and up to the full course fee.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all participants for online training must have their camera turned on and microphone enabled. This is for the safety of our instructors and other participants.

Digital certificates of attendance for online courses and webinars will only be issued if the client has attended over 90% of the course/webinar. No refund will be issued if a participant fails to attend, but a credit to use towards a future course may be granted.

Our presentations and training materials are copyright Boost Academy of Excellence and cannot be shared or given as handouts unless agreed in writing.

For private and corporate training, any planned press coverage is to be agreed upon in advance and in writing by all parties.

By submitting a registration form to one of our courses, the client has accepted registration. Acceptance and registration constitute a contract.
